Yes, things have been quiet since the Texas shows in March, but we are working on new material ... schedule isn't finalized yet, but keep your ears peeled for new music late this year or early next ...
Announcing ... the first ever US shows by The Valery Trails - an exclusive (i.e. there ain't that many of them) run of shows in Houston and Austin in March, coinciding with SXSW.
Shows confirmed so far are as follows:
March 13 - Houston - Down Under Sounds, at the Continental Club (7pm)
March 17 - Austin - Cherrywood Coffee House (Day Party)
To celebrate, we've released a sampler album for free download, including tracks from our three albums and one EP, as well as a previously unreleased version.
Things are quiet at the moment in VTrails-land, with life and other projects intervening most inconveniently. However, there has been a start made on some new tunes and vague plans are afoot, so watch this space ...
Once again, March has rolled around, which means SXSW! Andrew played a solo set at the 8th annual Down Under Sounds showcase in Houston along with some other great up and coming Aussie bands - The Coconut Kids, The Elliotts and Beth Brown, then headed to Austin to play at Dart Music International's annual day party, sharing the stage with a bunch of great bands from Austin and around the world, including The Band of Heathens and Sarah Shook & the Disarmers.
So what's next? Writing some tunes, watch this space for news of new material, hopefully by the end of the year ...
