The Album Approaches

So, the blog has been neglected, but we've been busy since the last communique.

In May, we released the Disappear EP, check it out on the Music page, or on Bandcamp

Sean's talented children made an awesome video for the title track, you can check it out on YouTube

The August 12 release date for our new album The Sky Is Blue is rapidly approaching. You can get a sneak peek at a few tracks (and preorder the digital or vinyl release, if you're so inclined) on Bandcamp

Also, watch this space for news about live shows!

New music coming in 2022

So ... that all took a bit longer than we planned. Travel, day jobs, COVID, yadda yadda ...

But ... music is recorded, mixed and mastered, vinyl is in process, multiple releases are scheduled for 2022. Again we say, watch this space!

Stay Tuned ...

Yes, things have been quiet since the Texas shows in March, but we are working on new material ... schedule isn't finalized yet, but keep your ears peeled for new music late this year or early next ...

The Valery Trails First Ever US Shows!

Announcing ... the first ever US shows by The Valery Trails - an exclusive (i.e. there ain't that many of them) run of shows in Houston and Austin in March, coinciding with SXSW.

Shows confirmed so far are as follows:

March 13 - Houston - Down Under Sounds, at the Continental Club (7pm)

March 14 - Austin - Dozen Street (Day Party)

March 16 - Austin - Amigos Internacionales Showcase, Guero's (Day Party)

March 17 - Austin - Cherrywood Coffee House (Day Party)

To celebrate, we've released a sampler album for free download, including tracks from our three albums and one EP, as well as a previously unreleased version.

You can get it here on Bandcamp

Stay tuned for more details, set times, facebook events to RSVP to and (hopefully) more show announcements!

Quiet times

Things are quiet at the moment in VTrails-land, with life and other projects intervening most inconveniently. However, there has been a start made on some new tunes and vague plans are afoot, so watch this space ...

SXSW 2017

Once again, March has rolled around, which means SXSW! Andrew played a solo set at the 8th annual Down Under Sounds showcase in Houston along with some other great up and coming Aussie bands - The Coconut KidsThe Elliotts and Beth Brown, then headed to Austin to play at Dart Music International's annual day party, sharing the stage with a bunch of great bands from Austin and around the world, including The Band of Heathens and Sarah Shook & the Disarmers

So what's next?  Writing some tunes, watch this space for news of new material, hopefully by the end of the year ...
